The highest and final aim of every true artist, using Chekhov's unique improvisation technique, maybe defined as the desire
to express the self freely and completely. The actor will rejoice in a new and
gratifying sense of complete self-confidence along with a feeling of freedom and inner richness.
4. Atmosphere
Atmosphere exerts a very strong influence upon your acting. There is
no atmosphere without an inner, dynamic life-force or will. So here you will practice how to
consciously create an atmosphere, sustain it and let the acting happen naturally.
5. How to Awaken True Artistic Feelings and Emotions
In this course,
you will be
given some effective and simple techniques and exercises to awaken your real, creative feelings and emotions as
Michael Chekhov's replacement for 'Emotional/Sense Memory'. Working this way, you
will be able to approach any role with a new ease and skill - confidently.
6. The Psychological Gesture - PG
The
Psychological Gesture (PG) is one of the best kept secrets. To assume the PG means to prepare the entire part
in its essence, after which it will become an easy task to work out all the details during actual
rehearsals on the stage. It is the spine of the psychology of the character expressed in a
Physical Gesture or movement. It is the quickest, easiest and the most artistic way of
transforming yourself into a character!
